Does your job or hobby involve writing fiction?

Are you a publisher of fiction books?

PictureHow can I help you?
I offer editing for fiction stories. I will edit your books personally, I do not use AI tools. I follow the Chicago Manual of Style for US works, or the Oxford Guide to Style for UK works.

Since 2018 I have worked with four publishing companies and numerous private clients editing various genres such as romance, contemporary, erotica, historical, science-fiction, fantasy. Please see client reviews below.

I qualified with The Publishing Training Centre in 2020, so my services are to their standard. Please see the image of my achievement certificate below.

My method of editing:

I will correct:
  • Grammar, spelling and punctuation errors.
I will suggest alternatives for:
  • Readability issues such as repetition, use of incorrect words, redundant words and awkward phrasing.
  • Big chunks of too much information given all at once, which are known as ‘info dumps.’
  • Plot holes, scenes which don’t work, need removing or extending, uneven pace.
  • Characters behaving unrealistically or inconsistently, including implausible dialogue.
  • Head hopping between characters, or if too many characters are given point of view.

I will also occasionally give my reaction to scenes, events or characters which have an effect on me, so that you can judge how readers would react.

What I require from you:

A Word document that has been finished as much as possible i.e. spelling, punctuation and grammar corrected, the story completed with no unfinished sections. If the document has too many issues and errors and I can’t work with it, I'll send it back to you with no charge, so you can finish it completely before asking again for my editing.

Payment is in full when you send your document.

Contact me here to discuss your proofreading and copy editing requirements.
**Please note: I am now fully booked til January 2026**
